Five year shave passed since the magical self released debut by Granem. A dark and poetic album, mentioned as one of the best Norwegian albums of 2019. When he went back into the studio with Kvelertak's Bjarte Lund Rolland, he presented material with a new layer of pop/rock elements which in no way compromised the artistic side of his expression, just a natural development giving a strong and catchy result. "Store ord" ("Big Words") is a mix of pop, rock and the artist's roots in the darker corners of traditional folk. Still his music deserves to reach so much further with his beautiful lyrical universe over songs about relations, loneliness, love and nature - with a melancholic touch. The music is raw and dark, yet beautiful and easily accesible.
 
Granem is the musical alias of Frode Granum Stang, hailing from an upbringing with traditional folk music and a background from hard and experimental music, and outsider culture. With his new album the solo artist has put together a full band leaving its trace on the result, with tracks that opens up his universe to an expanded audience.
